Kristy started performing arts classes at the age of 9. This is when she fell in love with dance, and with every passing year her knowledge of different genres continued to expand. Training with the ISTD has given her a great foundation of knowledge and experience, which still is continuing to this day. She has studied many genres of dance including Jazz, Tap, Modern Theatre, Imperial Classical Ballet, Contemporary and street jazz. She also had the opportunity to study the major ballet grades syllabus from the Royal Academy of Dance in her late teens.

Kristy has been lucky enough to perform on some amazing stages throughout the years, including Her Majesty’s Theatre, Saddlers Wells, and Disneyland Paris.

Kristy has been teaching students since 2016, from ages 2 to 18. During this time she has gained a wealth of experience. She has taught for multiple different dance schools catering for a wide range of ages and abilities, and has had the opportunity to enter students into ISTD & IDTA exams gaining a 100% pass rate. She also has experience choreographing routines for shows, competitions and performances.

Kristy gained her Level 3 Diploma in Dance at college and achieved the highest grade. During this time Kristy studied new genres of dance including contemporary techniques such as Cunningham Technique and Release Technique. She then started studying at the Linda Sweetzer Teacher Training College for her ISTD teaching qualifications. She has a full membership with both the ISTD & IDTA.

Kristy has her ISTD DDE’s in Imperial Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre and Tap Dance. She also holds her IDTA Associate in Ballet, Tap and Modern Dance. She has furthered her training over the years, earning her Progressing Ballet Technique certification and Acrotrix module 1 qualification.

Kristy enjoys taking part of CPD courses each year to continue personal growth and knowledge and also likes to regularly attend ballet classes to keep improving and maintaining her dance technique.

Kristy has recently undertaken her cheerleading coaching qualifications in levels 1 & 2 with BGU. She is very excited to introduce cheerleading into her academy!

Kristy strives to teach fun, inclusive and interactive classes with a nurturing approach.

Alongside running her own professional dance school and after-school dance clubs, Kristy is a competitive allstar cheerleader. She is an athlete with the Royals Allstars Cheerleading club and has won many divisional titles with her teams, and is also a 2x National Champion. Kristy enjoys cheerleading as it is great for teamwork, fitness and all around enjoyment. She hopes to continue competing for many years to come.
